Q9: Is the film difficult to apply?

A9: Applying window film can be done by anyone, but there may be a learning curve. Start with smaller windows to gain confidence in handling the film.

Q10: Can I install it by myself?

A10: Yes, you can install the film by yourself. However, for windows wider than 30 inches, having an extra person to assist you will be helpful.

Q11: How do I handle sticky adhesive window film?

A11: To handle sticky adhesive window film more effectively, spray a generous amount of water solution. This will make the film easier to work with. Additionally, spraying soapy water on the adhesive side while removing the liner will prevent the film from becoming too sticky and help eliminate wrinkles or bubbles during installation.

Q12: Which liquid soap should I use for the water solution?

A12: You can use any type of liquid soap, such as dishwashing soap or hand soap. Baby shampoo may provide the best results. For a small 500ml water bottle (16.9 oz), mix it with approximately 6 drops of liquid soap.

Q13: Why did the film fall off the window the next day?

A13: Window films come with a backing liner that needs to be separated from the film before installation. If the backing liner is not removed, the film may initially stick to the window but eventually come off within a few hours or days.

Q14: How do I separate the backing liner from the window film?

A14: Attach two pieces of tape slightly askew and facing each other on both sides of one corner of the film. One piece should grab onto the film, while the other should grab the corner tip of the liner. Press the tape firmly together first, then slowly separate the two pieces, spraying water solution as you remove the liner. Avoid using a knife to separate them.

Q15: Is the film applied inside or outside the window?

A15: Window films should be installed on the inside of the window, unless they are specifically designated as "EXTERIOR FILM."

Q16: Why don't I have privacy at night?

A16: Privacy films work by creating a difference in lighting conditions. At night, if the interior is brighter than the exterior, the privacy effect will be reversed. Our privacy films are designed for daytime privacy, and achieving 24-hour privacy is only possible with opaque films.

Q17: Can I remove the film later?

A17: Yes, you can remove the film later. You can use a fabric steamer or heat gun to heat up the film and loosen the adhesive. Using a hairdryer can also work, but it will take longer. If there is any remaining adhesive residue, it can be easily removed with soapy water and a razor blade. Static cling film can be removed by hand.
